Swarovski - Zirconia
Zirconia is an artificial crystal and is therefore made by humans themselves. Although it is not a real gemstone, a difference can sometimes be seen with the naked eye. This makes cubic zirconia a popular alternative to diamond.
Because Zirconia is made artificially, it is always colorless without additional additives.
Colors can easily be added in the process, so you can find Zirconia stones in all fashion colors. Zirconia is relatively hard and is therefore reasonably resistant to scratches.
A cut zirconia stone has relatively round edges compared to, for example, diamond.
Hardness: A CZ has a scientific hardness rating of 8.5 on the Mohs' scale. Diamond has a rating of 10.
Carat (Weight) A CZ is approximately 75 percent heavier than a diamond.
Color: In addition to classic white, CZs are now also available in many fashion colors, such as lavender blue, amethyst, canary yellow, pink, emerald green, sapphire blue and ruby red.
Cut: The finest CZ is machine cut to match the exact tolerance of the diamond cutting process. Like a diamond, a CZ can be cut into different variations of fashion shapes.
